FAQ
What should they wear?
My personal recommendation is to let your child wear whatever they feel comfortable and confident in. That being said, mid tones generally tend to make for a more pleasing photo than intense blacks or stark whites. Clean and wrinkle free is always a plus. Maybe consider trimming those bangs if it's time. Extreme bright colors or neon outfits can sometimes cast an odd glow on their skin (if you are also a child of the 80’s, you know what I’m talking about). That being said, I can make anything work! Most of these portraits will be taken from the waist up, and really it’s all about their sweet little face. Don’t sweat it!
How do I order images?
Professional quality prints or high resolution digital files will be available to purchase. You will see options and instructions when you view your gallery. Payments can be made securely through the website via credit card.
Will my child's photos be kept private?
I absolutely respect your privacy. I will not be posting any of your child’s images to my website without your permission and a signed Model Release Form. Even then, I will never post their name or school with their photos.
Is retouching available?
All images will be edited before they are sent to you. I may remove that last crumb on the corner of their mouth, or that one hair that just wouldn't lay flat. As a general rule, I don't alter anything that is a permanent part of their body or appearance. If you feel additional retouching is needed, let's chat. Email me and we can discuss specific images and any additional costs associated.
Do you take any health precautions?
I’m happy to discuss possible risk factors and/or accommodations for medically fragile students and staff. Personally, my family and I choose to live a cautious lifestyle. We do have immunocompromised family members that have influenced our precautions. Naturally, that concern extends to our community and most importantly, your child. I am vaccinated and plan to receive all available boosters, I also get an annual flu shot. I can commit to taking a Rapid Antigen Test for COVID-19 before arriving at the school.

Where's your social media??
I know, right?! So far, I participate in social media very minimally for the sake on my mental health. Admittedly, it's not a great business decision, and I'm working on tippy-toeing into that realm. Right now I just have a private VIP group on Facebook for existing clients. You'll receive a link to it when you or your school sign up for a session and have access to sneak peeks and additional offers! If you're really eager, just email me and I'll get you in. ;)
Why order prints directly from your photographer?
Honestly, I don't take it personally if you want to just purchase digital downloads and print at a lab of your choice. HOWEVER, there are a couple benefits to ordering directly from me. One, my screen is calibrated to match the printers used by my lab partner. I know what to expect from them. Two, if you're unhappy with my prints, I have a wonderful relationship with my printer and we will gladly try and work out any issues. If you order from your own lab, there's really nothing I can do.
Just for fun, I sent the same file to 5 different popular printers and was actually SHOCKED by the variance in the prints. Some were warm, some were cool, some dark, some light. It's more obvious in person, but I'll post the results below so you can see what I'm talking about.
